This is me, Anni von Bergen. My name refers to mountains, though my family originally comes from the Baltic Sea. For the last two years, I have been working as an illustrator in Berlin, an inspiring place to be! I prefer working on the go with a sketchbook– my utensils are soft pencils, gouache and collage materials. I consider coincidence and spontaneity to be an important part of my work, especially when it comes to intermixing techniques. My focus is on book and editorial illustration, live drawing and cooperation in scenographic concepts. I’d describe my work like this:  Extracting ideas from fictional or non-fictional texts and transforming them into expressive pictures that capture the moment in it’s unadorned beauty.
